KYK has said Tokyo was her last Olympics and she will be leaving the Korean NT afterwards: She hasn't quite quit volleyball just yet though, as she intends to play one more pro season in the Chinese league at least. But anyhow, I just want to take the opportunity to salute her achievement. She has, in many cases, single-handedly brought Korea up from a somewhat second-tier team to be in a position to at least be in contention to beat top-level teams once in a while: Despite not winning at medal in Tokyo, a Korean poll shows Korean themselves find her the most impressive athlete in Tokyo: koreabizwire.com/volleyball-icon-kim-yeon-koung-most-impressive-s-korean-athlete-at-tokyo-olympics-poll/196761So, what is your most memorable match of KYK, whether playing for Korean NT or the various pro clubs in Turkey or China?

She took the twins out and that is a service to the world volleyball community as a whole.

Ugh I will always remember just how absolutely dominant she was in London. Hands down the best offensive OH at that Olympics. I remember not really following international ball and when I saw her in that opener against the US I was actually shocked lol

I don't see any obvious successor to KYK from Korea at the moment, in terms of anyone having the potential talent and power like KYK. Or is there...we'll just have to wait and see.
