Rob Espero talked to her at length and it's great stuff. And she took the time even though she's getting married this week. You don't want to miss her perspective on the USA team, she talks about her playing plans, and so much more: volleyballmag.com/jordan-larson-interview-081821/

Amazing interview. Great pull back the curtains insight to so many of the things we have only guessed.

She spills some very hot tea at the 12:40 mark about the players filling out an anonymous ballot essentially forming their ideal Olympic team, or at least identifying the players they feel best and most comfortable playing with.

She hasn't officially announced retirement yet, so there's still hope for WC 2022.

Well the Chinese media were saying Larson will play one more season in Shanghai, so this pretty much confirms it.

I think she might finish off with WC 2022, but as she said, walking away with a gold is a good farewell too.

I thought that was interesting and it goes to show that the coaching staff wanted input from the players.

Kind of surprised she would talk about this publicly. Clearly the backup were very supportive and I think that is huge to a teams success. Having someone on the bench who is pissed off they are on the bench is always hard. It also has to be hard to be on the bench for these players. They have been the go to star their entire lives and the only team they would be on the bench for is the National team during an Olympic year. I have always liked her but this was a great interview.

What will Larson do after retirement from her playing career? The interview said she will support her husband...in what way though? I remember in an earlier interview Larson said she still wants to be involved with volleyball in some capacity after she's done playing on court. Will she be an assistant coach? Or some administrative or management role at USA volleyball?

The interview said she will support her husband...in what way though? Probably first and foremost as a loving wife, and future mother.

Maybe she starts volunteer coaching or something, but I'd imagine since Dave has spent ~x~ amount of years waiting for Jordan to finish her career, she just generally meant that she wanted to support his career as a coach.
