The Army missed its recruiting goal in FY 2022 by 25% or 15,000 active-duty soldiers. While other branches met their goals by slim margins, FY 2023 projections are bleak.
But we have pride month

I don't want to delete it. Do we have a month ( not just a day or a week but a month) for Moms? Dads? The sacrifice of the police? Firemen? Women in the workplace? Clergy? Soldiers who have lost limbs? Doctors who save lives? Abused children? Nope...we have a single day of recognition for Moms, and Dads...but as far as I know none of these other people even have a second or a minute of recognition? So can you explain why any group deserves a month?

Apologies for taking your post in what may be a slightly different direction. On recruiting, an Army general was quoted not too long ago saying up to 75% of US youth can not meet the Army's minimum requirements due to lack of education and mental skills, obesity, other physical problems, or criminal history according to recent studies.

Thank you for this post. It is a Frequently Asked Question of mine what the Army Recruiting numbers are like right now. This is certainly the right subforum in which to post this topic.

I also saw this and was puzzled. Not by the recruiting numbers, but by the location of this post. Given the identity of the originator of the thread and their often frenetic and unfocused posting history, the location of the post makes complete sense.

I also saw this and was puzzled. Not by the recruiting numbers, but by the location of this post. Due to our disagreement about politics on Off the Net FreeBall thought it was a great idea to post this in an attempt to get me banned. Its certainly not his first, or second, or third time trying. I am sad about that but some people have difficulty listening to other opinions and do their best to silence that opinion. He will continue down this path because that's been the effort for the last 10 plus years. Everyone have a great evening.

None of the people in this category were killed and discriminated for just existing. The fact that you are blaming gay people when it has nothing to do with your headline is exactly why we need pride. More of it. Everywhere. (Sorry just seeing this now)

(Sorry just seeing this now) What does gay have to do with the military? Do you think heterosexuals deserve a heterosexual day? Where everybody celebrates that? But yet you think you should have a special day celebrating your gayness? What in the hell does that got to do with serving in the military?Concentrate on the job and you might have way more recruits that actually want to serve in the military.
