I read a hilarious article on ESPN in which the writer claimed that Bronny James is the biggest story in men's college basketball, lol. Ah, yes, a dude averaging 5.8 points per game with a season high of 15 is the biggest story in the whole country. No one would care at all if he wasn't LeBron's son.

It was a great day for my teams. This morning, UConn honored the 2004 national championship team, which is the most talented team in UConn history (I'd say 1999 had the best season) and beat Xavier 99-56 to emphatically declare that they're the team to beat again. And this evening, my New Mexico Lobos finally beat the contemptible Steve Alford (I'll never forgive him for losing to Harvard because he was too busy trying to get a new contract, which he didn't even honor) and Nevada and did so in dominating fashion. They won 89-55 with a great overall performance, particularly on defense.
Edit: that loss to Harvard in the NCAA Tournament is the worst loss in the history of New Mexico athletics in my opinion.

UConn looks pretty good again this year. I would not be surprised to see them make another deep tournament run.

They seem to have the highest ceiling and most depth of any team in the country.

Houston looks very strong as well, as they crushed Texas. They have a top 10 showdown with Iowa State on Monday.

I forgot to mention it earlier, but Purdue lost on Sunday to Ohio State and its interim coach, so UConn is now a unanimous No. 1 for the first time in program history. Also, the selection committee did its top 16 reveal on Saturday, which was prior to both UConn's win and Purdue's loss.

Louisville pulled the plug on Kenny Payne. It will be interesting to see who they go after.

Big East tournament has been a lot of fun (other than 2nd half of UConn Xavier). UConn might run away with it tomorrow if Kolek doesn't play (and maybe even if he does)
