It's so liberating to know that you're in and not get annoyed at North Carolina and Colorado blowing it for the bubble teams. Also, I looked it up, and this is the first year ever in which my two teams, New Mexico and UConn, won their respective conference tournaments in the same season.

a minute away from history for the wolfpack It is crazy how long a minute of game time can take. It wasn't even *that* close either.

Oregon is about to steal a bid. It's been a terrible day for all bubble teams.

Oregon is about to steal a bid. It'@s been a terrible day for all bubble team. It will be interesting to see what happens. I would not be surprised if there's at least one team that the bracketologists think is a "lock" that turns out to be out. For example, the Mountain West appears to be a six-bid league. I think all six deserve to be in, but I wouldn't be shocked if one of Boise State, Colorado State or Nevada finds themselves on the outside looking in due to the bid stealers. Or something similar with a "safe" team from one of the power conferences.

I saw this on Reddit: Poor Indiana State. I actually think they were out as early as yesterday, but they might not even be among the first four out now.

St. John's -- getting in? It's a great question. If they were coached by anyone other than Rick Pitino, I'd say they're out. But he'll get ratings in Dayton. We'll see.

Long Beach State announced they were firing their coach after the season before the conference tournament started. They just won their tournament. Awkward?

Long Beach State announced they were firing their coach after the season before the conference tournament started. They just won their tournament. Awkward? Okay, that's hilarious. What if they make a run to the Sweet 16 or something? Is he still fired? Edit: I didn't realize it was Dan Monson, the coach of the original Gonzaga Cinderalla team that lost to eventual national champion UConn in 1999.

The only team last season ranked 30-39 in the NET that was left out on Selection Sunday was North Texas (38).
However, the following teams received at-large bids as well:
Northwestern (41) Missouri (42) Mississippi State (49) USC (50) Providence (56) Arizona St (66) Pitt (67)

The Big East might only get 3 teams in now. I thought they would send a team or two to Dayton before the last 48 hours happened.
