Is it free and open to everyone? They are playing in Rockford IL so I would assume its open to the public. Not sure about cost I would think the team will release info on the match sometime this week. This is pulled from Marquette’s website with the location, at least: Marquette travels to Rockford, Illinois and Guilford High School, the alma mater of sophomore outside hitter Ella Holmstrom, on Saturday, April 6 for a match with Illinois at 1 p.m. Central time. High occupancy is expected and fans will be admitted on a first come, first served basis.

Did anyone ever learn why Raina did not play against DePaul? Will she be able to play Saturday? How is Kayla’s shoulder?

Illinois WBB just won the NIT - can we turn the tide this upcoming season and compete in the new B1G??! Can CT start to match Shauna G’s success?

This had me do a double-take because Minnesota WBB is in the NIT final on Saturday. Looks like Illinois won the first ever WBIT which is run by the NCAA like the men’s NIT is. Women’s NIT is pay-to-play. Yay NCAA for providing equal funding to men’s and women’s basketball for post season play and congrats to Illinois WBB!

The shame is VB teams in the Big 10 don’t even play in the NIT tournament. BB does. But for some reason VB must think it’s to good for that. Playing in post season is a great opportunity for players to gain experience and teams can build off of it. Dumb choice by VB not to play.

Did someone’s friend’s brother who had class with their middle school’s classmate discover they might know the family of someone from North Carolina who had a son who might be playing on North Carolina State’s practice team, so this match must be canceled to allow everyone who might want to watch CBS’s pregame Final Four show….can.. unsettling to say the least… 🏐
it might be time to start double scheduling these spring matches so one of them may show up. . .

My husband asked me so which is more prestigious, the WBIT that BIG Illinois (19-15 overall, 8-10 conference) defeated Big East Villanova (22-13 overall, 11-7 conference) or Minnesota (20-15 overall, 5-13 conference) vs. A-10 St. Louis (21-18 overall, 8-9 conference). I say hooray for the BIG...I am rooting for Minny over St. Louey! And Purdue over UConn (Zack Edey over Donovan Clingan) Go BIG!

Without knowing what the exact rationale was for the late cancellation it's tough to predict. But it's two weeks out and that match is being held at Brooke's high school so my betting money is on the match being played as scheduled. I hope it is! Might even make the drive over the border myself for one last look at the squad before our five new Illini join. The four month volleyball break between April and August is a long one!

When do we start obsessing about the transfer portal again?
