Also, looks like Reagen Reilly played club at Kairos Elite. Same club as Taryn Kirsch & Sophi Randall.

Here's our projected depth chart for 2026: If no one transfers out we're projected to have: 3 setters, 3 DS/L, 4 MB, and 4 pins. I'd like for us to get one pin hitter and one DS/L. You had previously said one pin hitter and one MB. Are you still of that mind? Seniors

I think we need a back up setter, MB & OH. I have not seen the 2 2025 OH recruits so cannot comment on their ability. Havent heard much talk about them. Are they BIG 10 quality.? There are some many good players out there, I wouodnt pass up a stud OH in the class if they want to come to ILL. I think if we have a great upcominng season we can create more interest. Alyssa and Ava both look athletic with shot range and fast arms attacking. Alyssa has recently been playing six rotations as opposite for her current club. The two current outside hitters on her team are committed to Nebraska (Sigler) and Utah (Wiest). On Alyssa's previous team, she played six rotations as an outside hitter. Ava has recently been playing three rotations as opposite for her team. I only know this from watching their prep film, which you can too, by clicking on their names in this post or the first post of this thread. That's much easier than any of the rest of us telling you what we think about them. It's the reason I've linked the names to their individual Hudl or SportsRecruits pages, so we can all see for ourselves.

Prep links can be deceptive as it’s a highlight reel. Id like to hear the opinions of people who have seen them play in person

Good luck with that

Plenty of people on here go to the junior tourneys. Didnt you start a whole thread of 2026’s asking who was good? That whole list is based on who people are taking a out or who they have seen play.

While 2026 is a concern, we still need at least one if not two OHs for our 2025 roster.

This video clip reminds me how well I thought Kayla played at MB during our DePaul spring match, even with a bum right shoulder. I don't know if the shoulder is the lone reason for her training there this spring but she sure seems like a good option in the middle.

When Illinois participated in the KIVA showcase like five years ago, I think there were at least four teams there. So maybe the issue is with one or more of the participating teams' rosters or maybe it's a facilities issue.
Not super important whether Illinois gets to play scrimmages there for one day in April, IMO.

Coaches get limited time in Spring & almost no contact in Summer so bummer they dont get this high level organized play. Best to evaluate the progress on the players.

MBH just signed a pro contract for the Columbus Fury, the new Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF) franchise in Columbus, Ohio! Good luck, Michelle!
All of the PVF games this season have been broadcast for free on YouTube. It's been nice having pro volleyball to watch this spring that's being played in the States and it'll be even cooler to have MBH to root for.

Just spotted Kyla Swanson on the Omaha Supernova's bench! Looks like she's back on their practice squad, this after her Puerto Rican League season finished. Congrats, Kyla!
