Shadd-Ceres (Canadian) should be joining the badgers in 2024. However she’s drastically undersized (5’9) for a Wisconsin pin and based on everything I could find about her, she seems to be more of a track and field star. I wonder if she’ll be a dual sport athlete. Where did you see Shadd-Ceres at 5'9"?. I can only find 5'11". Volleybox lists her at 180cm which is 5’9 (according to the Google converter)

Wisconsin told a homegrown 5'10 outside she was too small to play for them and she ended up being ACC POY and a front runner for NPOY. Height is important, but how high you actually contact the ball matters a lot more... see 6'4 batenhorst vs 5'7 gillen / luper for example lol Sheff saw the light too late on Claire Chaussee. He admitted last year that he "whiffed on her". I'm hoping that Shadd-Ceres might be the next Chicoine. where did he say that? I never saw that

I never saw that I don't think he ever said that publically. Somebody said on TV that it was true (Sunderland?), but they were not obviously quoting Sheffield. It sounded like that perspective was from Chaussee's camp. Somebody may have said something off hand at one point that stuck in a craw. I'd have to work back, but I remember someone suggesting that UW may not even have had a scholarship to give to an OH at the time. Until recently it felt like all prospects left Wisconsin for other pastures.
