Looking at the Labor Day Weekend tickets now. It isn't clear. Are the tickets for each day for both sessions?

Looking at the Labor Day Weekend tickets now. It isn't clear. Are the tickets for each day for both sessions? As far as I could tell, the tickets are for a single day, but both matches on that day. I wasn’t able to find any way to select tickets for day 1, and then for day 2, before paying. Had to make two separate orders. Stupid, as well as over-charging… that’s TicketMa$ter!

Why would Schnichels enroll early and compete in spring if the plan always was to voluntarily redshirt in 2023? Minatee did the same thing and played, even though I don’t think it was anywhere near 1/3rd split with Davis and Awoleye. Why not save her too, then? I thought Schnichels had some kind of injury early? If you can find something definitive showing she voluntarily chose to redshirt 23 from the git go, I’ll concede that point, but I’m guessing that is inside info. I just don’t think in the NIL/free transfer era that voluntarily redshirting top recruits (no medical reason) is a thing anymore, nor should it be. If you happen to never get on the court as a true freshman, fine. But you should be dressed and ready to go every match of the season. SS is nowhere near down on the depth chart. She’s already the best setter on the team in terms of actual setting (consistency in placement, timing) skill. I agree overall Schaff is better in the other skills.I just really don't think this will be enough of a gap to make the team overall better with her at the helm. With the number of touches a setter has in a given set...I can't imagine that setting isn't an overwhelmingly strong factor in deciding playing time. It's not like Stella is 5'4", serves sidearm, and has never contacted a volleyball below shoulder level. Then again, maybe Mel's hands will take a step up this year. Fifth year's the charm? I personally agree with everything you’ve said. Cook’s MO last year was, when something is clearly not working ….. just charge ahead with it anyway. So, I guess we’ll see what happens.

If anonymous people speculating about things with no inside information makes you depressed, then I don’t think the internet is going to be your cup of tea.

Okay, I think at this point, we should move on and I am so done with all of these talks from someone who doesn't have the insider knowledge and pretends like they know everything or how it should be done.

Anyone driving down for the Illinois match that is willing to post updates???my experience in Faribault was an exercise in divided loyalties: watching only Gophers moving on the court and posting a bunch last Saturday I kept notes on my phone, posted less frequently as the match proceeded and posted after the match appending others' play by play comments to my own. i'll post end of set stats if they are on the scoreboard and, probably, only outstanding plays as they occur my guess is that playing in the gym where Brooke Mosher went to high school is going to bring out a local lovefest and I think it's going to be a fun atmosphere. Raina Terry is still around and maybe the Gophers won't own the net like the last few weeks.

Per my contact at Gopher Sports... expect an email at 10:00am, "notifying" us of the ability to start purchasing tickets for the Labor Day Weekend matches at FiServ Forum at.. 10am. Hmm. I didn't get any emails.

I didn't get any emails. That shows how much they value their dedicated fanbase. Sorry for being glum about this, but lack of (imho) notifications and tickets for “away” matches where the Gopher Ticket Office gets a block of tickets is one of my pet peeves. And this is far larger than a lap-sized pet peeve.

I wish I could be in Waterloo! To be honest, I’d love to see Raina Terry play in person just as much as see more Gopher spring ball.
Fun match up since for a while now the Illini have been a strong serving team, and Minnesota seems to be making a pointed effort to be more aggressive with that part of their game in the Keegan era. I think this will be the most difficult passing test the team faces this spring. It’s cool to face a conference foe that is looking to improve and get back to the tournament this December. I’d like to see that for them and their fans.
I enjoyed watching the Gophers manage Iowa State’s Gonzalez in Faribault two weeks ago. Serving tough definitely helped with getting four strong hands in front of her more often than not. If memory serves, she had the swing that elicited the biggest collective gasp from a majority Gophers-fan crowd that afternoon. Glad I got to see in person why she was region and conference freshman of the year this past season.
I hope Raina puts Z to the test! We all know she’s that physical hitter for Illinois. Higher contact point than anyone for Iowa State though. I didn’t get to see a ton of libero digs against the cyclones because we blocked that well. Wouldn’t be the worst thing if that happened again this Friday I suppose hehe.
Go Gophers!

Anyone driving down for the Illinois match that is willing to post updates??? I'm heading to Waterloo this weekend. BUT I'm not knowledgeable enough to comment on any of the finer points of anyone's play. I've never played or coached so I'm merely a fan. I'll do what I can and it'll be after the match. Looking forward to see how we match up against a fellow BIG.

ETA: presale code is VBGOPHERS I can’t go, so have at it folks!
