7 of 8 non-conference matches at home. I think that’s smart for this squad actually.

Of the teams I bothered to check - B12 teams are playing on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and the Friday after Thanksgiving.
Why not just go to a 16 game conference season and a season ending 15 team conference tournament?
Instead of having 3 groups of 5 (that play a home and home) - why not 5 groups of 3? This would still get the natural rivalries.
BYU, Utah, Colorado Arizona, Arizona State, Texas Tech Houston, Baylor, TCU Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State Cincinnati, West Virginia, UCF
Run the 1st round at the home of the higher seed on the Monday before Thanksgiving. #1 seed gets a first round bye.
Then run the final 8 - quarter finals on Wednesday, semi-finals on Friday, and Championship game on Saturday. It isn't like anyone is going home for Thanksgiving.

I don’t think asking all 15 schools to have gym availability because they “might” host a Monday match during basketball season would work. Other than that, yeah. I want a tournament.

Big 12 is divided into 3 groups of 5. Teams play their group twice and the other 10 schools once for an 18 game conference schedule. This is probably the right thing to do - certainly the easiest way to do it. Here are the Groups: #1) BYU, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Arizona State #2) Kansas, Iowa State, Kansas State, UCF, and West Virginia #3) Baylor, Houston, TCU, Texas Tech, Cincinatti Group 1 with the toughest schedule. They should swap Cincy and UCF. Both are extreme geographic outliers under this alignment.

Who is playing home games basketball games on the Monday before Thanksgiving? Seems like many teams are off on tournaments in nice weather locations. It is not uncommon for afternoon games of volleyball during the week of Thanksgiving. Can always have a Monday afternoon game if there was a conflict with basketball. I am not necessarily saying how it should be done - I am mostly saying it can and should be done.

I am not necessarily saying how it should be done - I am mostly saying it can and should be done. Three Big 12 women’s teams and one men’s team had a home game this year. But mostly I just prefer everybody at one venue for the spectacle. I guess I don’t see the big benefit of having home games on Monday versus just starting matches at the main tournament on Tuesday.

COVID messed me up - but, shouldn't a lot of schedules be dropping soon? Maybe it's May or even June that are the big months now, but I always thought by late April a pretty healthy amount of schedules were out.
