LOVB is signing two more foreign liberos. Annie Cesar (GER)and Milica Medved (SRB) weird. but also, the american liberos probably want the chance to play in PVF/earn more. (id be disappointed if this means no spots for Lexi/Elena/Oglivie/Briseno/etc) Yeah, I imagine the libero offers are LOW I imagine players like Wang Simin and Annie Cesar are content with being reserves (since they have been previously). Milica is weird, but its not like Serbians have much options other than Romania outside of serbia. They're probably in a weird spot with PVF and they cant (or well "Cant") talk to NCAA players and they probably dont want to leave too many roster gaps.

She was captain for a very good jedinstvo team who dominated the Serbian league again and had a very very good champions league performance. She’s an excellent passer. Definitely more a passer than defender type libero.

I’m so over our mid tier talent or rising talent going to freaking Romania. (Kocic, Mirosajlevic, Milenkovic, bjelica, etc)

idk if this has been asked and answered, but with the 2 year deal players seem to have been signing - is that just signing to the league or will they be locked in to the same team for both seasons? Or do we not know

No ones saying they need to start, but having them as backups would be really good for their future and development professionally. Liberos are also hardly ever injured so it's not as crucial to have as good of backups as you might have in the other positions

Im hesitant (just based on what I've seen). I imagine JWO/Fleck/Kojima/Inoue/another not announced will be starters. Mary Lake could be? The rest seem/make sense for a reserve role. Maybe. They probably have that concern too. But they have to start somewhere (and a big part about having an American league is having opportunities that they cant get overseas... unless LOVb has never said that lol)

I don’t follow pro volleyball overseas so I’m not surprised by not knowing some names but I’m concerned that I don’t know MOST of these players LOVB is signing and I don’t think I’m the only one…
I understand the appeal of players signing to LOVB vs PVF and the level of play will most likely be higher but I’m not convinced the average US fan is going to buy into it as quickly because of the unfamiliar names and format (and the dumb name). Will be interesting to see how these signings translate to viewership/fan support since ultimately that will determine the leagues survival.
