Any idea why Evan Cory wouldn't be playing with Wyatt? I was surprised to see that I have an idea…and it’s not rocket science. Those silly things called POINTS.

Lol no sorry I just thought people generally stick with their partners. But it does make sense from a points standpoint as thevolleymaster pointed out so ig that makes sense.

Tournament to tournament as well. If they're not making a run for the Olympics then high chance they're changing partners a good amount

Evan probably had Alison lined up but only for AVP so he likely made an arrangement with Wyatt to run a few tournaments together just to test the chemistry and see if it’s something worth revisiting down the road. As mentioned above it’s completely common for guys in the bottom half of the main draw and especially at the Quali level to change partners frequently based on results, points, practice availability, friendships, and scheduling.

Alison + Evan = Main draw AVP Wyatt + Evan = Qualifier AVP Alison(Brazil) + Evan(USA) = Cannot play FIVB Wyatt(USA) + Evan(USA) = Can play FIVB Not rocket science people 🚀 🧪

See, when you write "it's not rocket science people" that implies the person you're addressing is stupid to not see the easy answer you see. You don't have to go there but you don't seem to be able to help yourself.
Wyatt + Cory in AVP makes sense if Cory wants to have the same partner for FIVB and AVP, even if it means going through a qualified for AVP. That's not rocket science either.
Or not. Do any of us actually know Cory that can confirm he's not concerned with having the same partner for FIVB and AVP?

After his India story, I'd be surprised if he leaves the glorious US of A.

Long story short Evan Cory lost his passport. Surprise, surprise that caused him a lot of stress and headache. At zero point in his little write up does he take any accountability and say if I didn't lose my passport things would have gone much smmother. I thought similiarly when Travis and Tri were running thru the streets of LA to make a Brazil flight. At zero point do either of them say hmmmm maybe we should leave earlier to plan ahead for traffic.
