Hey Millenium! Provided bruinsgold hasn’t started on it yet, I imagine he might appreciate one fewer match thread to make this week. Are you wanting to make future match threads for Penn State or is this more of a one-off for you? We do have a system in place here to create threads for all matches between ranked opponents or those receiving votes, as well as matches broadcast on linear TV, and bruinsgold is our resident Purdue match threader, so this particular match was going to be covered for any of those three reasons. For your own information, here’s how the match thread sausage is being made these days. Every Monday I create a table containing all of the week’s matches between ranked teams and teams receiving votes and matches being broadcast on linear TV. The timing is every Monday PM because the AVCA releases their rankings Monday afternoons and NYChusker makes a top 25 matchups table after the release. I update the match thread assignments table whenever it’s determined who’s volunteering for which threads and whenever a thread is made. Here’s this week’s table which can be found on Page 40: | Date | Teams | Status | Maker |

The posts in this thread that come after the table are essentially our regular threaders coordinating who’s making which threads. But there weren’t additional posts about Purdue vs Penn State because bruinsgold does all Purdue threads and we haven’t had a regular designated Penn State threader in a couple years who he would have to talk to. What I’m driving at is that we’re always happy to have new match threaders join our ranks, we’d just ask that they participate in our weekly system of coordination and communication. One of the main points of the system and the OP itself, is to guard against duplicate efforts in making match threads so there’s one thread per match. We’ll use this same system come tournament time, too- all matches will have their own thread and it’ll be coordinated in this pinned thread. Thanks! Thanks for the heads up on the process. If bruinsgold started the thread, then I'll delete mine (or can incorporate his BBCode into mine with attribution). I'll check with y'all beforehand next time.
