17 service errors. Seventeen. Service. Errors. In 2022 Stanford had 24 service errors against Nebraska and still won 3-1. It wasn't the service errors that allowed Louisville to win against Wisconsin. When Wisconsin's strength is blocking. Making serves is quite important so you can actually set up blocks. A lot of blocking opportunities are missed without making serves. Stanford is historically an aggressive serving team, so service errors tend not to matter as much. |

Diva was about to walk down at the Yum last night and cuss out Sheffield. Diva remained patient..... wasting my GOT-DAYUM MONEY! on hotels, air, food, and away from my babies...... for this?!?! I regress. So! My observations from yours truly: BIGGEST TAKE AWAY - Set 1, Charlie was in control and running her show - things were flowing. Then Kelly EGO came into play -- he was mic'd up, so he needed to pretend she was Carlini, or Hilley, or the 6-2 munchkins from a year ago. Charlie is different; she doesn't process information like those setters did. All he did by calling out Reds, B's, and Bics' in his messaging was short-circuit her brain. She is a different type of cerebral athlete and atypical setter; she's unique, and during the middle of a match or time-out, she does not need a coach-to-player side conversation. Her rhythm changed after Set 1. I hope someone can relay to Sheff that his game-time side chats do nothing for Charlie -- she sees the game three times ahead. Her teammates will catch up -- they'll learn not to be surprised. Coach Sheff, in-game time, LET HER PLAY and be the QB -- She's going to do her own thing. Your verbal diarrhea does nothing for her but confuses and frustrates her. (Watch the replay of thier interaction - you'll see it exactly) I'm tired of seeing our 6'10, four-year starting player who still cannot put a F'ING ball away! This has to be the biggest failure for everyone; we've been cheated of greatness. Since her coming out party at Nebraska during her freshman year, I don't trust her on the RS, or anywhere for that matter. Unfortunately, CC (including last night) would have changed the dynamic in the middle. Anna was being used by 6' Anna of LU. Sad. Shrek goes spastic on any ball set off the net; simply put, she can't do it on a match-by-match basis. She's more of a liability. Anna sits in my book. CC and Booth (who failed so many blocking assignments) are in the middle, and the go-to is RS Robinson. Charlie can set Robinson on the Right and on a combo slide. I don't know what Sarah played yesterday, but the roll shots to the sky and lack of power were very concerning. Something was not right with her. I'm okay with aggressive serving, just not to the middle of the net. If you miss, please don't miss as you serve flat-footed on the court. This team can be good, will be good. Shadd-Ceres game reminds me of a young Tammy (TTA), but she obviously doesn't spray the ball all over to the bleachers. Once she's more comfortable out there, I think she can have a breakthrough by midseason. The lackluster deer in the headlights play as the night went on was disappointing. No urgency was felt or the will to win. This mentality gets you in the middle of the BigTen come November. We need a SOLID OH. The Tank or whatever you'll praise her as, needs to step the f'up! My lineup for this weekend is as follows: Orzo at LIB, Fuerbs Setting, CC and Booth in the Middle, Robinson at RS, and Franklin and Shadd-Ceres on the pins. SIT THE BIG GIRL DOWN.. She needs to wake tf up! Love, Peace and Chicken Grease! Diva Hopefully the team, coach and program that has done nothing but win at the highest level can catch up to the speed of the freshman setter who has accomplished nothing at this level. Guess people are slow and can't seem to decifer between stupidity and common sense. |

To me it reads like you must have a good personal/volleyball relationship with her to understand her this well! Maybe you can reach out and let her know to ignore her D1 head coach and do her own thang in the meantime? Are you slow or something?? |

My take on the match was that charlie became a little predictable toward the end. She stayed away from Shadd Ceres and set Devyn or Franklin on the BIC leading to two big blocks on devyn in the red zone. She will get this fixed!

The last block on devyn was a Solo block (BkS) getting a hitter like devyn 1-1 against an OH is a good thing! Devyn will take 1 on 1 every time! You can see in replay: the middle blocker was frozen not expecting CF (S) to Devyn: completely fooled. Just a hitter exicutiin thing not a setter issue! |

having that much faith in a raw freshman who hit negative in her collegiate debut but none in a .400 hitter is certainly only something vbdiva and maybe a couple other users could pull off

Because of one game with poor passing and setting like come on jeez, WHY do you think the coaches out here there and not other players? Because she’s proved herself consistently clearly, and has been better than Devyn. CC hasn’t done anything in the last 2 years offensively so not sure why you think she’d be on the court other than blocking. Where have THEY proven themselves? Yall are wild it’s too much to even argue 😂 |

Well I’d be embarrassed if I were her and someone I knew came on here, absolved her of any responsibility and chucked a future HOF coach and program under the bus, and also stated she needed to be handled in a special way that UW legends didn’t need. |
