After reading the comments, where are the setters? Are setters something we collectively don’t care about anymore? Is that why there are so few elite setters? I mean imagine Texas with a really good setter, very few stand outs this year, I think that’s a shame.

Melanie Parra: 33 kills, .373 against UCLA (plus 2 aces and a block) she said you are not keeping me off first team AA this year If my arithmetic is correct, she averaged 7.3 kills per set and hit .363 over the course of her three matches this week. (10 sets total)

Albeit in a losing effort, Courtney Jackson with 40(!!!) digs in the 5 set loss to Tulsa She ended up with 6.63 digs/set on the weekend (Arkansas was 1-1). The setting numbers are "meh," (I blame her RS-Fr hitters) but Hannah Hogue all around had 10 asst/set, 4.75 digs/set, and hit 7-0-11 for .636 in the two matches. Romani Thurman had a nice offensive weekend, too. She hit .341 with 4.75 kps.

Not voting but maybe I'm a little bit BIASED! But I think this deserves recognition Alexis Stucky, Florida, S - Played her first matches since injury last year - Averaged 11.5 a/s - 2.3 d/s - 0.5 b/s - Led Florida to hit .442% (!) against Buffalo at her first start in OVER A YEAR

Onye Ofoegbu had 2.7 kps and 2.17 bps while hitting .682 this weekend.
For freshmen, Cline had 10.0 aps, 1.0 kps (.429) while setting Oregon to a .326 clip this weekend.
