While two wins would be awesome, I just want to see the girls continue to grow! I hope to see some increased service pressure along with some stable serve receive. GO BOWS! Especially Bamis, she ain't it at the moment and if she continues to stink it up, might be time to see some Maddie Way. Yes, Jacyn wasn't that great and frustrating to watch at times. But against San Diego, I did see a very incremental improvement in offense. Of note, she's leading the team in blocks, which is a sore spot for this Wahine team, plus she actually has a decent serve. I think she can continue to trend upward. Maddie had a very short stint on the court last weekend and I could be wrong but she did not look physically ready to me. Hawaii's entire middle trio will be a work in progress this season.

Coach Robyn had Adrianna and Maddie sitting at the front of the bench talking to Kaleo and ready to go in during the USD match. It would have been part of a double switch with Kate and Tali coming out for Adrianna and Maddie. Fortunately, UH played well and the double subs never took place. I think Robyn will ride Bamis….good or not. She is the only returning player in the middle and having D1 experience in the middle is crucial. 2 freshmen in the middle is not ideal. I could see Robyn coaching Jacyn hard. After the USD win, they did a double high five and a hip bump. There was no ill feeling. Jacyn just need court time to get into a groove. I saw some flashes from her.

She played really well in the spring scrimmages against UNLV, Colorado State, and Notre Dame.

i think jjvb is talking about hawaii/pepperdine. Lol. My bad if that's the case. I still don't understand how the other teams posted here have anything to do with. Oh nevermind. 🤦🏻♂️ maybe they’re all undefeated at this point?

Nah, I think iluvvb just accidentally posted in the wrong thread ... s/he might've thought this was the general thread listing the various match threads ... which I sometimes post in.

USC beat Pepperdine 2x, Hawaii can do it too! Pepperdine seemed to regressed a lil bit... I thought they looked great last year. The fact that they couldn't beat USC is a bit alarming. Not just that, they only won 1 set in those two matches. 👎
Hawaii will win at least 1. Most likely both.

Pepperdine without the services of Riley Simpson (walking in a boot) and Vanessa Polk. That's rough. Riley was their most terminal pin
