I know Hawaii is 3 hours behind the mainland, but I think the Rainbow Wahine are an extra half hour behind given these first sets.

So far UH’s passing is pretty bad. Setting is shaky. And Pepperdine’s height advantage is giving them complete dominance at the net.
Somehow it doesn’t feel like the Waves are going to let the Wahine back into the match like SMU and USD did…. hope I’m wrong.

I hate ESPN+ having local commercials to me, rather than Hawai'i commercials! In a battleground political state, I am sure I will be happy the day after the election with a tampon, adult diaper, Preparation H, food I hate commercial break! I totally would try those teriyaki burgers at Long's!

It’s part of Robyn’s game plan to start slow I know it I mean I have to think so because this is ridiculous lol. As if the damn team is still chillin' in the friggen locker room in the 1st set. Like their physical bodies are there but they are not there. Haha

Doess anyone else feel like the whole slow start thing almost borders on the intentional? Seems like there could be a reason (more focused on getting a feel for the opponents than scoring points? I dunno).
It's happened 3 too many times and twice worked out rather well. I don't want to say planned, but possibly at least a consideration in the game plan?

I dunno). It's happened 3 too many times and twice worked out rather well. I don't want to say planned, but possibly at least a consideration in the game plan? Right. I mean to get plastered in sets 1....3 straight matches is mind-boggling. We see if they can come back.

Waves take the 1st set!
25-15
Pepperdine hit .353 to Hawaii at .083. The Waves also had 5 blocks to Hawaii's 1. The Wahine are groveling for digs in the back row leading that category 18-12 but they need to start pushing the consistency button on offense.
