I swear this whole Texas/Wisconsin/Stanford/Minnesota tournament has me shaking my head. I can't figure out who is really good or bad... Obviously, Minnesota is underrated but I don't know what that means... It's not a real tourney with this weird format where not all the teams play each other. Right, it's a VB "showcase." A very good showcase, but still a showcase, not a true tournament since not everyone plays each other. And it wasn't straight elimination either with a championship and third place match.

Shaffmaster has some really good setting skills better than a lot of other setters people call good. Ball doesn’t spin and location is great.

Incredible Gophers victory. Great net defense and outstanding court coverage. Best I've seen them play since 2018.

Between shaffmaster and Luper, this is the year of shedding the exoskeleton and emerging better than ever.

This post is hilarious considering what people say about her. But the short answer is no she is just not that good at setting which is the skills she should really be good at Edit: she is GOOD but not NT good lol like I said, I’m watching on tv with terrible angles as far as judging set location etc. but she just looked so smooth compared to the other side. Very collected, just getting the job done, seemed to create some opportunities for her hitters. Great dig numbers. But I totally get that in person, the location might be very different I think her main problem is just setting range. She is a really good in system setter and can locate balls really consistently with great tempo. But when she’s pushed well off the net she doesn’t have the hands to put up great balls. But an overall great volleyball player in basically every other phase of the game

If you were one of the 9 out of 61 people to vote for MN to win, please reveal yourself I need those 9 to predict the presidential election. I was one of them! But I only got one of my four predictions right for this event so know that I come with a 25% success rate 😁

Didn’t think we were getting 5 sets tonight. Who would’ve thought Wisconsin is the only team leaving without a win this weekend. Given the state of the teams leading into this week, I don’t think Wisconsin being 0-3 is all that surprising.
