I'll be happy if the Gophers have less than 15 service errors.

I can certainly see this happening. However, Pedro is back and very evident with our two middles. They both put on a performance yesterday. We shall see how they stand up against Texas later today. I was very happy for both of them. Here's hoping their performance will continue into this match and the rest of the team can build on it. Is that Pedro’s specialty? Middle play? His coach bio on the Gopher website has a blurb about him “working mainly with the middles blockers” during the 2022 season when we finished 4th in the NCAA with 2.92 blocks per set. It also talks about developing Northwestern’s middle blockers last season. Seems like he’s the de facto middle coach. He was a middle when he played.

I personally feel it is two-fold why this coaching staff is bringing in Garr next season and Kraft in 2026, while adding Thibault this season. Also, when referring to our back court, our starting pins talent level right now is not close to being equivalent to former Gopher players such as Santana, Wilhite and Samedy during their Junior-Senior years. There is lot of developing going on this season for many of our starters.
Oops add Wenaas to that list too.

*PSA*
The previous match just ended so this one isn't going to start on time. I think they need at least 30 minutes for warmups so maybe it's around a 7 PM CT start time?

Yeah, watching whatever this sitdown is is pretty brutal.

Attendance (unless a ton of people come back in) makes yesterday's 2nd-match look good.

Okay I got so confused watching a repeat of this Sherrone Moore interview that no one here besides me probably even cares about. We’re just in a holding pattern.
