For me this is a big game for the Gophers; I want to see how they come out and play after such a big win and getting some media attention. Hopefully they're built for the challenge. For some reason I am nervous for this weekend, but excited I get to see them play in person finally! Go Gophs!

Baylor has not lost a set this year. (competition) Unlike other Minnesota sports volleyball has always been a team I expected to win. That went away last year. Hope it comes back this weekend.

I cannot find the MN/TCU match thread yet so I am posting here for now.
I don’t know if this will actually happen but I was able to chat with the Gopher communication team and they contacted Baylor about the MN/TCU match later on Saturday they said they are fixing it to make it available on ESPN+.
Fingers crossed that some of us will get to watch it at home!

I don’t know if this will actually happen but I was able to chat with the Gopher communication team and they contacted Baylor about the MN/TCU match later on Saturday they said they are fixing it to make it available on ESPN+. I am glad this series is in the 2nd weekend now after being the opening matches for the last 3 years. Baylor has still been tinkering with their lineup but have had 4 matches now before having to face Minnesota and Wisconsin. Feeling kinda optimistic for the weekend, but really just hoping to be competitive. Elise stepped up offensively last match, but was she still getting DS’d some or no? I had to remember that this is the battle of the Elise McGhee/McGhie's. I always get a chuckle over this for some reason. |

Elise stepped up offensively last match, but was she still getting DS’d some or no? I had to remember that this is the battle of the Elise McGhee/McGhie's. I always get a chuckle over this for some reason. Me too, and I did a brief double take when reading a post above about how (the other) Elise did great offensively recently. (While the MN Elise did dig Madi like it was nothing, I'm not sure she even took a second ball off a Mel dig, but maybe she did). |
