I had to remember that this is the battle of the Elise McGhee/McGhie's. I always get a chuckle over this for some reason. Me too, and I did a brief double take when reading a post above about how (the other) Elise did great offensively recently. (While the MN Elise did dig Madi like it was nothing, I'm not sure she even took a second ball off a Mel dig, but maybe she did). I think she did a couple of times - not sure if any were actual assists or not. |

Elise stepped up offensively last match, but was she still getting DS’d some or no? I had to remember that this is the battle of the Elise McGhee/McGhie's. I always get a chuckle over this for some reason. Because it's the most random ass name for there to be two of them -- playing volleyball -- against each other -- every year. |

I cannot find the MN/TCU match thread yet so I am posting here for now. I don’t know if this will actually happen but I was able to chat with the Gopher communication team and they contacted Baylor about the MN/TCU match later on Saturday they said they are fixing it to make it available on ESPN+. Fingers crossed that some of us will get to watch it at home! I can confirm that the MN/TCU match is available in ESPN+ now. YAY!!! Huzzah and hurray! (I found it on ESPN's website, and have the direct link pasted into the (upcoming) match thread for TCU.) |

All I know is, according to some posters here, the last win against a so-called "number 1" team (we'll see where they end up, when it's all said and done) has automatically anointed all coaching decisions by Cook & Co. as untouchable, unquestionable, unassailable.
Because, you know ..... we went 1-1 on the two matches, needing 10 sets to do so. And we got blown off the court in both set 4's, for some reason.
But sure.
So hope the good juju of those decisions (read: lack of any changes, ever, no matter what) continues on into tonight's match!
