Grote and Hanson led with 10 kills (.259 and .286 respectively)
Mel 23 assists, 10 digs
McGhie 12 assists, 3 digs
Z just shy of 7 digs/set with 20 digs
After I said they were hitting .450 and error free as a team in the third set, they of course rattled off 7 errors.
41-16-119 (.210) as a team.
Galvin led the Tommies with 9 kills. Rudzitis with 8 but higher error.
The Tommies hit .034 with 6 team blocks to the Gophers' 11. Dug almost as many. 54 to 59.

Schnichels having a rough go so far. I was happy for her getting in and really hoping she'd get a kill. Felt bad for her as she rotated out the last time. That shot down the line that went out was the one that got away. |

Phoebe channels TayMo for 4-2 Alex on for Wookie this set Z is on service run experimenting with dying quail serves just over the net in front of the attack line Her serving efficiency (points scored on her serve have improved). She was held out of serve vs Baylor (iirc) Agree Palabiyik's serving was huge last night, though I question whether the short serve would work well against better receiving teams? At any rate she was my player of the match. |

Stop trying to make the 6-2 happen Keegan my god Yes, please. Though these matches are the place to try it. Felt a little awkward for McGhie and Crowl to be pulled after a long stretch of Tommie points got them too close for comfort. |

I’m a fan of Acevedo! I feel like the flow is better with her and Hanson as the OHs! Yes, she seems more confident in the backrow and has a more consistent serve and had a couple loud kills. Her hitting percentage did drop off a bit, not sure if that was with McGhie though? |

Definitely a correlation between Tommie scoring runs and the Mghie/Crowl sub... Shaff makes this team so much better.
The "tips" that are actually free balls need to stop... placement is everything if your swing isn't there, I'd really like to see more deep corners utilized instead but maybe he'd rather rely on good defense and the block in those situations?
Great seeing Schnichles and Engemen get time, very nice OOS tip over by Engemen in the third too. I could see her and SS being a great combo next year, her blocking needs work but I like how well she moves as an offensive middle.
More of the Acevedo + Hanson pin combo please and thank you 😁
Nice to see Grote taking some different shots besides the comfortable crosscourt she tends to sink into, nice cut shot followed by an even better line shot in the 2nd I believe. Her stats much better last night, keep putting up those numbers girl!
