I know what happened to the Corns. But the fact that Badgers are wounded, I think it is a good idea to take a minor risk — rest front row Orzol and Anna. It doesn't equate to Sheffield taking lightly on the opponent. We can always re-arrange the line-up in the second set if needed.

Shadd-Ceres hopefully will see some decent minutes. Maybe a Tosia sighting unless they want to redshirt her? Red shirting her would be a smart move imo She’s already played, so she can’t be redshirted. Edit: thought this was referring to TSC, not Tosia. Tosia is redshirt eligible. My bad, Pepperjack! |

Husker Nation said the same thing before playing SMU. Can’t just roll your helmets out there and expect a win. That said, Anna will probably be on “break glass in case of emergency” duty. Beyond that, I don’t know what’s going to happen. We also can't roll our helmets out there because this is volleyball. 😄 And this week we need two wins to be the best D1 team in Wisconsin. |

Unless you are trying to save her for libero duty, which I think we don't have to worry about anymore, I think Orzol needs the match reps. We forget she barely hit last year. To my mind she stays in if the injury isn't flaring up too much. There is a week until the next match if she sees some issues post match.
They are clearly being careful with Smrek. I'd like to see her in for at least a set to build rapport with Charlie. Also, dev's knees were completely iced up after the Baylor match. I have a feeling they may swap in and out for each other to get reps while preserving health.
From my perspective, the starting lineup needs as much time on the court together as it can get to build confidence.

Devyn has had "kinesiology tape" of her right shoulder the last couple matches, and later on during the TCU match, she was flexing and touching/rubbing the shoulder. I don't know what's going on there, but it is definitely worth keeping an eye on. |

Can we still bring empty water bottles in to the Field House? I just did. Breezed through at 5:55, but even plenty of seats in the GA end still available so this game is probably not representative of how pregame will be. They moved the ticket scanners outside of security which feels faster. |
