Having seen Pitt play in person against Pepperdine and UCSB, when they are up and playing free, they flow beautifully. However, when the sets are close, their body language changed a lot and they played tense and stiff. I’m curious to see how they will respond when pushed. Not sure how tense they could have been when the closest set was a 19 in those games. Lots of big game experience on that squad.

I think that is what surprised me about the body language and communication, they seemed upset and tense because the score was closer than it should have been - leading to play that was less communicative and in the flow. I think it happens to most teams when they feel frustrated, so nothing novel about it, just an observation in person I was surprised by.
