We'll see if Colvin can keep it up or is this just a super hot stretch. Admittedly, I didn't realize she was hitting that high, I thought she was still hovering around high 200s to lows 300s like she has been the previous 3 years. are you totally discounting the fact that she has twice as many blocks as Andi, Not to mention the huge disparity and aces and digs? Kills aren't everything. Raven has 225 points, Andi 158. I think Andi is amazing and a super talented athlete, but as of now Raven is statistically better. I think if Colvin was still hitting at around .280 yeah, I would take Andi over her, considering Andi is hitting .500+. Digs and aces are nice, but in NCAA volleyball where subs are plentiful, I'm not sure how much value a middle that is a great server and can dig well (for a middle) would provide compared to a middle who is subbed for a DS or SS. Such a sub would at worst provide worse serving but almost certainly better backrow defense. As for blocking, yes, she is a better blocker than Andi right now by a fair margin.

According to the pdf box score, Northwestern didn't serve GG once.
Frank 18 times, Orzol and Schumacher 12 each, GG zero.

Raven is really good. They haven't used her as well as they could in the past. But its also true the huskers don't depend on Andi that much. That may be one reason Andi's HP is higher. It's a little hard to compare them based on stats.

Carter hitting wide x2. What. the second set was a bit out of her reach (but still handable). The first set she just plain missed. Le sigh Tip then.

I'm halfway between these views. Colvin is criminally underrated but Andi Jackson and Sophie Fisher both are clearly better than her. badgerbadgerbadger tablealgebra Who is better in 2024 so far? MB1: 46 sets played: 120K, 22SA, 29D, 83TB MB2: 41 sets played: 110K, 1SA, 7D, 47TB ... I'll wait. Stats without context lack enough meaning to differentiate.

Yeah, they put her on the back line - basically treated her as a back row opposite. The commentators even mentioned it. Think Jade Demps 2021 (obviously, GG is in there for a much different role)
