this is closer than what I expected I think they were stunned at the level of play in the first set, and now they are adjusting. Unfortunately, probably too little too late. |

Nice win from Wisconsin. Great performance. The unsung hero of the .500 hitting percentage? They were tremendous at covering their hitters.
Washington looked like they weren't ready for this level of team; unsurprising, considering they haven't played one yet.

Eh, not really adjusting, just we were making completely unforced errors in that 3rd set. At least 4 SEs and 4 HEs (possible more) giving them 8 points. And the HEs weren't blocks, but just missing the ball OOB |

Badgers ended up hitting 0.486 for the match. Huskies 0.114, though they outhit the badgers 0.370 - 0.360 in the last set.
Badgers with 6 SA (8 SE) vs huskies with 2 SA (11 SE). Huskies with 7 SE that last set largely offset any advantage they had in hitting.
Badgers outdug UW 32-21. Did not expect that. Lola had a pretty good game.
Franklin hit 0.478 (12K). Devyn 0.638 (7k). Smrek 0.562 (10k). Orzol 0.500 (7K).
Only 4 HEs all match for the badgers, 19 HEs for the huskies (including 11 blocks by the badgers).
