Teams seem to me almost even. Should be a tough match. Too close to say "expecting", but very much hoping for an Illinois win.

Thanks for the thread exit237a! This is an important match for both teams tournament aspirations. This is a much improved Michigan roster from what Illinois faced last year, I'm just not sure how good they are quite yet. A win here and at OSU on Sunday would really have me believing we are fully back.Go Blue! |

Heads up for Saturday's MSU match. Due to the conflict with football, the radio broadcast will be online only at fightingillini.com. But, the start time is listed at 12am. Remember when oldmanvb pointed this out for a previous match and it was never fixed despite my pleadings? Well, it's happening again. So if you want to get the hometown call with inside info you won't get anywhere else (and I'm actually on site unlike FS1 this past week), start emailing DIA folks with your displeasure. If this isn't fixed, this might be my retirement post  |

I don't think it is an overstatement that this weekend makes or breaks the Illini's season. We need to win both these matches to have any hope for post-season play. By any measure we should win both, but we need to play well, no going to sleep for parts of the match, as we are prone to do.
tditman2, don't "retire" if DIA somehow fumbles your broadcast this weekend. They won't learn anything from the lesson and the only people who will suffer are the people who enjoy your broadcasts. Plus, I'm just now becoming adept at syncing your broadcast with the BTN+ video, no small feat for me.
Any suggestions about where to direct our emails?

I would say Illinois comes through this one in 4. Illinois seem to have hit some pretty good form and they are always a team on the the edge of the tournament. Erin is starting to get a hold of this team but I think Illinois will have too much for them

Excited to see this match, I have been watching Michigan and they are looking so much better than before. I think it will be a good battle all around and a highly competitive evening of VB
