Looking at our roster and recruits, 3 scholies leaving with 5 recruits coming in. Not too mention, if we try and recruit from the portal, I'm curious as to how it will all work out.

Also, can we start a prayer circle, light a few candles, a few rosary's - what ever you ask when you need a favor that Launstein come to ILL. I would love to see a battle between TdB, Smith & Launstein for the second OH.

That would be cool! It would expand into a competition for that OH position and also opposite. I think Lauenstein was playing six rotations or at least 3.5 rotations as opposite last season- she had some killer back row attacks at some points at Nebraska.

Only two new scholarship players coming in next year, Philpot and Smith. Cogan did not sign a letter of intent, which I interpret to mean she is a walk-on. Still, I count 12 scholarship players for next year, including Terry. We don’t know if each of our scholarship players is on a four year scholarship, it depends on the LOI they signed. B1G teams are supposed to honor the original contract, cannot cancel a scholarship for other than academic or misconduct reasons. If some of our players can get academic money covering what would be covered by an athletic scholarship they don’t have to count that player against the 12 scholarship limit. Hopefully there is money for the DS and Whitney, if they are interested in playing for Illinois.
