If I am correct Lauren is a RS Junior which means she still has, counting this year, 3 years of eligibility. I am thinking about a pair of Gopher AllAmericans who made a big jump later in their MN careers: Sarah Wilhite and Katie Harms. Harms, also a lefty OPP, was a revelation to my non-professional training eye in her senior year. Crowl has not developed the body mechanics, particularly arm speed, to be a terminal pin hitter yet. What I don't know about kinesiology or plyometrics is just about everything, but you hear glowing testimonials from MLB pitchers who go to Arizona or somewhere over the winter and come back with a 3+mph increase in their pitching speed. I don't play golf, but I've seen video where they attach markers on your bod and analyze your swing. If Crowl wants to be the MN frontline OPP next year she will need to 'get into the swing' of things. Is it shoulder girdle rotation? hips? rotator cuff adhesion? I've no idea. Maybe she could give Katie Harms a call? She might have the 'secret sauce' to spice up Lauren's swing. Crowl, as a red-shirt junior this year, has one more year of eligibility after this year. I completely agree about her arm swing not being up to snuff. Maybe a combination of that and her personality is just tentative. Harms had a whip of an arm swing and was sort of a killer. Crowl is definitely not the latter, but you never know. After Wilhite, I never doubted the possibility of what a player might turn out to be by their senior year. But that was under Hugh. He worked extensively on hitting mechanics right out the gate with players. I'm not sure how much of that Keegan does.

Lydia not playing? Clapping hands with others, but not warming up, and no kneepads.

With no Grote, do we think Crowl would play? Personally would rather see another outside or even Schnichels to get her more experience

On the bench, not suited up. No obvious reason. The BTN broadcast said “undisclosed injury” so same thing they have said when Wucherer was out.
