Nope! Most people don't like Nebraska because of their coach and their coach only! When Cook retires, that will change. One of the most competitive coaches ever. He is vociferous about the accomplishments of the NE WVB program (i.e., his NE WVB program) and WVB in the state of NE. Is this hubrous? Probably, but also hard to dispute the accomplishments, IMO. Competitive I can deal with. It's the "competitive at ALL costs" mentality that Cook has that I don't like. He's an arrogant SOB, and not in a good way. I have always had respect for all of the Nebraska players (except his daughter); but never for Cook.

The only time Cook would have been at that facility would be for a National Semi Final or Championship so to say they didn't know who he was is ridiculous because you would pretty much know every Coach at that level for that kind of event. Whether you are a volleyball fan or not. Just because of all of the times they would have been in and out with everything going on for that week. Not saying that a Coach should be that way as I have seen it with famous people. Many professionals do that. You don't know who I am? Nope I sure don't and you still have to follow the rules whether you believe you are special or not. Nebraska fans are weird because we follow our team everywhere they go I guess so. The popularity of Volleyball is growing tremendously and Nebraska has helped that because of like the filling an outdoor football stadium. Nebraska isn't the only one though as you look at Purdue with their last two matches at home have been almost a record each time for a B1G match. Matches being sold out for all kinds of teams. National TV picking up more games. It is good for everyone.

Why post pictures from last year on a match thread, this makes no sense.

Why post pictures from last year on a match thread, this makes no sense. To counter all the anti-Cook and anti-NE garbage that has taken over this match thread. Coach Cook and NE have shown great leadership in promoting WVB. The only ones? NO, but they have played a pivotal leadership role. Jealousy driving criticism IMO.

The stadium is a beauty! But what's the deal with posting Uber Murray and companies?

What percentage of the Field House seats were occupied with Husker fans in last seasons game would someone who attended last seasons game say? 20% maybe? I dont blame people for wanting to make a buck but hopefully its not too high of a number. Possibly higher. It's hard to tell because they have the same red. But the Nebraska fans have outcheered the Badger fans from time to time so it's important to get a lead going. The student section has to be all in. As with all vb games, sometimes the video board has to remind fans to cheer when the going gets tough. So weird. As for ticket-selling, more FB fans have been buying tickets and not attending matches. So they just buy in case they want to go to a match or two. You can sell a pair of NE for pretty much the price of a season ticket. Or at least half of the price. But it is likely going to go to a Nebraska fan for the price being posted. Kudos to them for actually being invested in VB and not just " Huskers". Although it's probably because their other sports teams are terrible. This year Husker FB is at least respectable.

Nebraska played a regular season game against Creighton at CHI Arena in 2022, and no, most people you'd walk by on the street couldn't name you a volleyball coach at any level.

Over/Unders for this weeks match:
4.5 - longest consecutive number of serves from Charli 1.5 - Number of net violations by Crawford 15.5 - kills by Franklin 5.5 - combined setter dump attempts 4:35 - longest review duration 3.5 - number of times Choboy dives for an out of bounds ball going away from the net 9.5 - combined kills from Krause and Landfair 3.5 - number of times an announcer calls Lexi the best defender in the B1G (or better)
I'd come up with more for Wisky but I haven't watched much of them recently.
