Newish poster here, can someone fill me in on why people actively root against Nebraska in this sport? Losers always hate winners. Jealousy I suspect.

wait you are okay with one of Cook and Reyes? 👀 watch it be larson I'm not sure what, if anything, could turn me against the GOAT. If she replaced Cook I might even drop my anti-Husker feelings entirely.

What percentage of the Field House seats were occupied with Husker fans in last seasons game would someone who attended last seasons game say? 20% maybe?
I dont blame people for wanting to make a buck but hopefully its not too high of a number.

Interesting. I wonder when this could have happened because I was at every Supernovas home match and I don't remember seeing John Cook at any of them, though several Nebraska players did attend matches throughout the season. The guard could have had the interaction with Cook when Cook was coming and going for a Creighton-Nebraska match. IDK. Two sides to every story. Most visiting coaches that are hassled on pre-game entry are going to be unpleasant.

Two absolute goliaths meeting, I'm so glad we get this matchup twice in the regular season. I think Wisconsin wins at home. They seem primed and ready. They also have the most physical frontline in the country and their block has been unreal the past month. Fuerbringer/Schumacher are also improving in key roles as the season goes along. I'll go bold and predict a Badger sweep.

Overall I have a very high opinion of the Nebraska fans I've encountered on this forum. I really don't have an issue with Coach John Cook either.
Only two unsavories would be Photos and Holiday. They were two of the biggest trolls trying to shame the Wisconsin team after that incident of 3 seasons ago.

One of the most competitive coaches ever. He is vociferous about the accomplishments of the NE WVB program (i.e., his NE WVB program) and WVB in the state of NE. Is this hubrous? Probably, but also hard to dispute the accomplishments, IMO.

Last year we went to an Omaha Supernova’s game (same venue as creighton) to go see our 1st pro volleyball game. Anyway we were chatting with the security as we wanted to get there early to see warm ups and pick up a tee shirt. He asked what brought us here and we said we were college vball fans. I guess, and he provided unsolicited feed back on how Cook was nasty to everyone that didn’t matter to him. Cook didn’t have his pass to get into to the arena and he went off on him because he didn’t know who Cook was, it seemed like he was really still shaken from the experience. I’m sure he’s a great coach as he’s had much success. And everyone can have a bad day. So I hope this was a one off, but I like to root for the nice people that spread positivity. But also, in general when you are a successful program other teams want to see parity. In the long run it’s not great to not have parity in any sport. Interesting. I wonder when this could have happened because I was at every Supernovas home match and I don't remember seeing John Cook at any of them, though several Nebraska players did attend matches throughout the season. Cook wasn’t at the Supernovas game: it was a nebraska game in that arena the security gaurd was working and cook attempted to enter without his credential and went off on the gaurd: this is the story the gaurd retold unsolicited ti 2 fans wntering for a super novas game

JC is arrogant for sure! Does he say things that rub people wrong way? Absolutely. One year in press conference during ncaa they asked about his seed and what he thiught: he said the ncaa needs nebraska and they should consider that when they seed!!! Pavan nor her dad thought much of JC:( Jim McLaughlin might give you an opinion!!!! jim is one of niicest so JC must have been completely rude! He’s a Southern Cal guy who’s goal was to be a cali coach and made it big in Nebraska. He will piss off more than he ingratiates: but cant argue with how good they have been!!
