Newish poster here, can someone fill me in on why people actively root against Nebraska in this sport? John Cook is kind of a dick, notably talking a lot of %*$# on the way out the door when he left Wisconsin. He said there wasn’t a chance for Wisconsin to ever win a national title here, so he split. Wisconsin’s first national title came against Cook’s Nebraska team, and there was a key injury that, had it not occurred, the Badgers would have beat Cook & the Huskers for the first title in 2000. All of that and he’s publicly been a bit of a jerk to some of his own players, or former players who’ve since transferred out.

The guy who has the two tickets next to my seat also has four more tickets across the aisle. And the seats next to me are more-or-less equal numbers of times occupied by friends or family, or sold on the internet, or are vacant. But for this match, he has the four seats across the aisle up for sale... at $1200 per seat! Second row, about the 10 foot line, so they're good seats. But still...

I hope he does not sell them, I don’t think he will, that price is beyond unreasonable

He knows to check if the pair next me is vacant; if they are, he comes and sits there (at least until somebody with the ticket comes and bounces him out).

The next couple days will be interesting in that regard. Normally, I'd think "no way". But as we know, Husker fans aren't normal. LOL

Nah...not quite. NE fans are...Um....interesting. Cook is not a great guy. It doesn't help I'm from Texas currently but it's hard to like NE. Last year we went to an Omaha Supernova’s game (same venue as creighton) to go see our 1st pro volleyball game. Anyway we were chatting with the security as we wanted to get there early to see warm ups and pick up a tee shirt. He asked what brought us here and we said we were college vball fans. I guess, and he provided unsolicited feed back on how Cook was nasty to everyone that didn’t matter to him. Cook didn’t have his pass to get into to the arena and he went off on him because he didn’t know who Cook was, it seemed like he was really still shaken from the experience. I’m sure he’s a great coach as he’s had much success. And everyone can have a bad day. So I hope this was a one off, but I like to root for the nice people that spread positivity. But also, in general when you are a successful program other teams want to see parity. In the long run it’s not great to not have parity in any sport. Interesting. I wonder when this could have happened because I was at every Supernovas home match and I don't remember seeing John Cook at any of them, though several Nebraska players did attend matches throughout the season.

Last season GA tickets for this match were selling for ~$150 the week of. Today it looks like <$100.

The guard could have had the interaction with Cook when Cook was coming and going for a Creighton-Nebraska match.
