Don't judge me but....
1. Pittsburg T2. Nebraska T2(3). Penn State 4. Louisville 5. Stanford 6. Wisconsin 7. Creighton 8. Kansas 9. Texas 10. SMU 11. Oregon 12. Arizona State 13. Purdue 14. Minnesota 15. Georgia Tech 16. Kentucky 17. USC 18. Baylor 19. TCU 20. BYU 21. Florida State 22. Dayton 23. Utah 24. Florida 25. North Carolina
I think mine are pretty similar except for the tie between 2nd place. Both of those schools are pretty good but I think until I see them lose to another team or play each other, they are tied for me. I really want to rank UCLA cause they have been taking a lot of teams to 4 and 5 sets but have not been able to pull through with the win. Once I see them take a game away from a ranked team or even win a little more, they deserve the 24th or 25th-ranked spot.

I know it’s the full body of work but at this moment I do not believe there are 6 teams playing better than Wisconsin. PSU fan here and I believe Wisconsin is playing better. I guess we will see Friday.

Texas' trajectory this year looks a lot like last years (3 early losses, 1 midseason loss, then they went on a tear).
TX took their final 2023 loss (4th) on Nov. 8th.

Y'all these votes are getting wilder and wilder! Nebraska at 4? Louisville at 7? SMU at 18? Oregon at 14? Not even ranking Kentucky? I can name probably 14 to 16 teams that have either been better or more consistent than Kentucky. But not 25 teams. They're not the Kentucky of Olde, but they're still rank-able Agreed. I don't know how anyone leaves off Kentucky. 3/5 of their losses are to Top 10 teams. 4/5 of their losses are to Top 15 teams. Their only bad loss is at Auburn, who is arguably Top 30 or so. Their best wins are against SMU, Mizzou, and Florida.

Just feel like we are heading for a Final Four that is going to include Pittsburgh, Nebraska, and Louisville. There are a number of schools that could be the fourth team, just depends on what version shows up in the NCAA tournament. I wouldn't want to play Texas, Wisconsin, or SMU as they all have shown the ability to compete at a very high level but are not as consistent as the top 3.

IZZY STARCK, thats it. she is quite literally one of the best setters in the country as a frosh

I guess we will see Friday. This makes sense. To begin the year, Orzol, Smrek, and Frank were all playing injured or just back from injury (Orzol not even in front row which is a huge deal when her replacement was a true freshmen who hit negative) and the libero position was a platoon without the player who is currently playing libero. Also, getting used to a new setter (but that is a common theme for many teams, so that isn't much of an excuse). Wisconsin has yet to drop a match with Lola starting at Libero. It's just a much different team than the one who dropped 3 matches (against great competition) to begin the season.

I like Penn State, just don't think they are as consistent as the top 3. They have the pieces, it will probably come down to matchups.

Penn state reminds me of a WAY WAY better Hawaii
They play stronger against the "stronger" teams but weaker and look horrendous (not so much penn state but compared to their play against oregon, Louisville etc), against the weaker teams

In watching their game against Pittsburgh they showed a lot of resilience and they certainly played the number 1 team in the country on the road a lot better than Penn State. I don't like how Penn State plays to the level of their competition some times and in the tournament that is the type of stuff that can sneak up on you. Penn State has a really high ceiling and the game the end of year vs Nebraska should be a great barometer of where both teams are at.
