Arizona’s disastrous non-conference schedule is really killing them in the at-large race. Its one thing to go cupcake, but Zona didn’t really get any good W/L cupcakes. will wins vs Kansas and BYU be enough if they win out? Maybe. They'll be in the conversation for sure, but I wouldn't say it's guaranteed.

Texas Tech up 1-0 on Houston at Houston. They're close in RPI, but Houston seems to have the ghost of Kenna Sauer keeping their name as a relevant opponent. Texas Tech's arc reminds me of Oklahoma: grad transfers, lots of experience, athletic outsides, playing ranked opponents tough but not closing.

KU has had such a easy big12 schedule, minus Utah Its gonna be interesting to see how they finish against Baylor, tcu, byu, KState, and Iowa state As a Pac-12 refugee, I am not used to these wildly unbalanced schedules. Arizona played as many (or more) ranked opponents in the first half of conference play (7 of 9 matches!) as some Big 12 teams play all season. KU was finally their last ranked opponent. So, of their 12 league matches, 10 were vs top 25 teams. Makes up for the weak nonconference, I guess, but would have been nice if they were spread out a bit instead of frontloaded. Same issue with Colorado. Just played 6 ranked teams in a row and a few more ranked teams at the very beginning of conference. Now finally getting some lower half conference teams, and they have the 1st match win against Arizona. 😀

37 for .465? Did Kansas front row try putting their arms *above* their heads while blocking on her? Turner just isn't that tall. Also, she was a Top 2 (top 3?) recruit for a reason. You are right about Wilson - she was an elite recruit for a reason and it showed last night. Turner isn't tall - but she is actually a decent blocker. She just got 6 blocks against ASU (2 of them solo blocks) - which is the total # of blocks Kansas got last night against Arizona. Kansas has actually been a good blocking team all season. It wasn't just Wilson - Hodge and Cisneros were also good. Wilson got at least a dozen kills from the back row - and they always had Hodge hitting from the right side even when she was in the back row. And when they had Wilson and Hodge both on the back row - it wasn't all that easy for the middle to have any idea where the set was going. I don't know if it was bad preparation or what? A LOT of high hands all night by Arizona - including Wilson. It wasn't like she was pounding inside the 10 foot line. And doing this - they pretty much never hit long. Maybe a combination of many things (mostly just how challenging Arizona was from pin to pin and Wilson/Hodge hitting from the back row) - but this lack of blocking by Kansas was highly unusual for this season. Like I mentioned - they just had 14 blocks two night earlier against a very good and quick offense ASU team.

Being a good blocker despite being short is great except when you play a top 5 athlete who can go down over you.

In this an upset per Pablo? In Pablo WI was favored to win (+674 points with home court advantage), but not by such a dominant margin. That the worst beat-down by WI over PSU I've seen in the 22 years I've been watching volleyball.

#303 Charleston Southern upsets #53 High Point Jesus … Underrated comment. Charleston Southern's former name? Baptist College.
