This is Minatee's SO season and she has never been under Pedro's tutelage. Those of you that watch her mechanics, is there something specific that he has her working on and she is struggling to correct that? I just feel there is so much upside to her game.

Minnesota Team: 1.68 wucherer: 1.46 (27) 29.6 GP% Z: 1.61 (26)/30.8% Hanson: 1.79 (19)/36.8% Thibault: 2.00 (13)/53.8% I recall posting in the thread he needed to make a switch at L and a poster responded that Thibault was worse. Hmmm. I cant say im an expert on z/Thibault but Thibault's stats alone would the advantage of not having to pass in any libero/Wuch/Hanson rotations for this match (Z's stats are higher on the season)

Hmmm. Isn't Crissy the new defensive coach for our Gophers? If yes, this would be the second new coach in two years. I am sure each coach brings their own positive and negative teaching skills to the table. Some players appear to be taking steps backwards in their game. WHY is the question that needs answering. I just don't know where this team is with there personal and/or team goals for this season. Again, as the season is winding down we just don't have the same team that started this season...not good.

It was a sight to see a starting L in the B1G get aced over and over and over. It wasn’t just the aces. It’s her inability to take control in serve receive. Step in front of Wucherer, do something. That seam was exploited time and time again last night.

I’m pretty sure Crissy was middle in college Kristin is setters coach and beautiful Pedro is middles coach That leaves Keegan as defensive coach

Since 2019, Washington is the 5th team to win a match involving a T25 team while hitting .123 or less.
9/14/2019 Indiana (.079) defeated #15 Kentucky (.174) 3-2 (16-25,25-22,12-25,25-20,15-11)
9/22/2019 #4 Penn State (.112) defeated #6 Pittsburgh (.153) 3-2 (28-26,21-25,25-21,20-25,16-14)
9/16/2022 #16 Florida (.115) defeated #4 Wisconsin (.115) 3-2 (25-21,25-18,26-28,13-25,15-13)
3/5/2021 Butler (.117) defeated #24 Marquette (.089) 3-2 (25-18,15-25,17-25,25-18,15-7)
11/7/2024 RV Washington (.123) defeated #14 Minnesota (.248) 3-1 (25-21,25-23,14-25,25-22)
The -.125 difference in hitting percentage is the largest deficit for any team defeating a T25 team since 2019.

I have no excuses for Wuchs for this match, when she goes downhill she drags the team with her... I so badly wanted to see Acevedo in there to maybe right the ship and it didn't happen. Z was doing the best she could to cover her and it just wasn't working. Engemen was a bright spot though, she moves like a pin in the middle and I love it, her offense is something MN really needs.
Can't be too mad though because Udub is my second favorite team and they demolished MN in the serve and pass game. Must've felt pretty good for them to win against their former coach, big win for Gabriel!

How bad did UW's players want to beat Keegan? Really bad.

A single voter - 2.2% of all votes - predicted the outcome correctly. Strong.

Doing a close examination of the last 10 points in set 4 Shaffmaster was undoubtedly tired and her play quality deteriorated In the first two sets MN was awful in the terminal serving corner of the triangle Here the weakness was in transition: MN had chances to take the lead at 17-16 but Wookie, was block touched, dug on a tip, & Shaff had an anemic hit MN tied the score at 17s on a beautiful kill by Engeman after a nice 2.5? backset after a super save by Wa' Zoria WA went ahead at 18-17 when Shaff went wide to block line and left a seam for Endsley inside WA 19-17 after Shaff underset Engeman who hit the top of the net and didn't clear WA 20-17 Wilson aced Thibault WA 20-18 Shaff took a good pass and missed a connection with Hanson who tipped left!handed. Endsley made a HE long WA 20-19 Crowl served and ball crossed net 8x before Hanson got a set she could terminate with in transition t.o WA WA 21-19 Crowl served tough, but WA got FBSO on backset to Endsley on RS and MN block fell just outside the sideline WA 22-19 Thibault's pass was just 7' inside the left sideline and Shaff's set was less than 3' from the net. Hanson tried for high hands, but was rejected high. Z stabbed at the block which prevented Wookie from making a tough dig on it. WA 22-20 Diving pass by Thibault, Shaff with good set to Hanson for a FBSO tip. WA 23-20 A pair of anemic sets, one to Hanson & one to Grote that could not be hard driven led to a WA kill in transition WA 23-21 In ro1 Grote had a swing which was dug, but Z set Hanson on RS for a 2BSO (1st ball in transition) WA 23-22 1BiT. Z's dig off hard xcourt was bump back set from off the court by Wookie to Grote for a kill. BEAUTIFUL forced a WA t.o. WA 24-22 Grote made a 1BiT tip that WA barely got over the net, dug by Shaff, bump set by Z to Grote. She had the line, perfect for a thumb down, but went xcourt and was blocked. A low drive into the seam of the block would have worked, but the angle of the set made any swing adjustment quite problematic. Z was well behind the attack line and had the time to moved quickly to make an overhand set to Wookie. Again, under pressure, it was easier to do what she did. MN t.o. WA 25-22 Grote's line shot was block touched and dug by the libero and WA got a FBiT kill
