Lol Bergen 5-0-6.
Much like the Oregon match, Merritt with a bleh match but Harper 12 kills .360 and Taylor 10 kills .471

The set scores were better than they were against Wisconsin. I call that a moral victory for the huskies.

Not unexpected. Nebraska is a good and deep team. Huskies played hard with a lot of injuries and didn’t beat themselves. Welcome back Audra leading the team in digs! Great hitting night for Fletcher!

Lots of Husky resilience in the face of lineup changes and trying the 6-2 there at the end. Missing both Endsley and Barton is tough!

How many players from their lineup do Washington bring back next year?
I know Bays is done because I remember her from 2021 when they played Texas. Endsley is done too. Anyone else?

Back from the match along with 9767 other fans. As expected, a Nebraska sweep.
The good news:
- Wilmes is back and did not look too rusty, which is surprising. She did OK on serve receive and played an all-around decent game.
- Barton is out of her boot. The sooner we can get her back on the court the better.
- Bays had a really fine game, especially on serve receive. There is no doubt she is our best receiver now.
- Fletcher also had a very fine game, avoiding the Nebraska block and playing smart.
- I thought the Huskies actually served pretty tough but Nebraska is not Minnesota.
The not so good news:
- Endsley is out and we don't know why or at least I don't know why.
- Serve receive after Bays gets shaky and shakier.
- Simply too many errors in all phases of the game to compete with a team like Nebraska.
- Julia Hunt has kind of disappeared offensively. I have some thoughts about that but will post on the Washington 2024 thread tomorrow about that and other matters going forward.

Huskers back row is such a major difference maker. They do things that just put them on another level. You watch other teams and then realize how good the Huskers fans have it. Lani had a few insane dives. Glad she has not taken anyone out from friendly fire. You just can't teach what she does. Her heart is built different.
