The UH-LBSU matches are always exciting to watch. One of Hawaii's longest rivalries.

This will be a test
LBSU is running a 6-2 now which we have struggled with all year
So we really gotta be on our A game if we want to win
Manifesting Hakas to have an amazing game as I think that will be key

LBSU's weakness is passing and the long stretches of out of system play. If the Beach can pass well they will be able to put some runs together and put the needed pressure on Hawaii for a possible win. The bigger and more physical lineup up LBSU now uses, because of the 6-2 and the development of Maxwell, will give Hawaii a lot more to think about this time around. I hope LBSU can get their block going so Alexander, the conference's best attacker, feels a little uncomfortable and does not get into a rhythm. I hope this is a good evenly played match because the last one was not.

I hope this is a good evenly played match because the last one was not. hawaii has struggled when opponents have keyed on caylen early ... maybe blocking her or getting her to spray some hitting errors at the outset. it's taken her out of rhythm ... when she can't find it over the course of the match, the team has trouble finding their footing too ... here's hoping caylen gets off to a fast start!

I hope this is a good evenly played match because the last one was not. yup ... facing the 6-2 has been an achilles' heel, for sure, for the wahine ... not just this season, but years' past too ... cal poly did switch to the 6-2 mid-match when they were here a few weeks ago. hawaii didn't react well at first, losing the 3rd set, before they (thankfully) adjusted and finished off cp in 4 sets. so, it took hawaii about a set-and-a-half to figure out cp's 6-2 ... a good sign! ... but then, i'm not sure how comfortable cp was running it, since the move was partly out of desperation as the match was getting away from them at that point ...

Instead of thinking of the Wahine as Jekyll and Hyde, maybe think of them as Puny Banner and The Hulk. That way, maybe they can permanently turn into Smart Hulk and play some good, smart volleyball for the rest of the season.
