The injury rate of the UW team/program is shocking The injury rate across the top D1 volleyball programs this feels high (I don't have the numbers), but this is wild for Washington. Conventional thinking is to look at the weight training and rehab/prehab programs since strong, loose muscles are good for injury prevention. Hopefully they sort it out for the coming years. Definitely. Without knowing the specifics it’s hard to place blame — like we all watched Barton just get unlucky and the other player came under the net. But it’s super disappointing (and I’m sure even more so for the players!)

Very thankful for the depth this year. Especially, with Hani having the experience of being a starter last year and, at times, being neck-and-neck with Wessels, she's able to be slotted into the lineup without missing a beat.

Not the cleanest point, but love the grit and Hani's block to end it

UW 23-10 (Volleytalk was down?) Annoying when it happens, but it usually is resolved quickly.

UW playing a 5-1 today. Bush and Wilmes at OH. Endsley at OPP. Heard at DS. Wilson at S. .. and of course Julia's offense suffers in this setup. :/ But the passing was better (although against a weaker serving team). Wilson's sets to Hunt look to me to tend to be too low. Hunt is very quick, so may be out jumping Molly's sets. Bush and Wilmes played all the way around, with Bush getting a couple of BIC kills in the third set. Endsley struggled, but has only played OPP recently. Can be tougher because the setter needs to back-set and a righty OPP is getting sets across her body.
