I am surprised to see Gillman thinks Minnesota has a shot at hosting the first weekend. Would beating Wisconsin in Madison even help our RPI that much? One Texas and two Wisconsin wins would be great but there's still a bunch of losses to teams that are likely to host or in better position RPI-wise.

Keep in mind, the majority of the voters on this committee have no clue. Emily Ehman is a nice social media advocate with zero volleyball understanding.

I think Emily is wrong about Creighton necessarily getting top 4 ahead of UW even if the badgers win out. A hundred takes have left me with the impression that it's just really hard to compare these teams' records. Put a committee in a room, and you will not get consensus. If the badgers manage to beat the huskers in Lincoln when Creighton could not and not slip up to Minnie (which could happen), I think that gives an excuse for the committee to lift the badgers into that position.
If the badgers lose any of their remaining games, they are not hosting. Simples. (EDIT: Except MSU since that will probably be after the decision is made).

This pool imo is a lot better than AVCA (tho that’s not hard). I appreciate everyone who puts time and effort into this. Makes it fun. Emily played college volleyball and watches a ton of volleyball, to say she has zero understanding is not true. |

At least GT is no longer in the top 16. But why did Minnesota drop out? They took a set from BIG RED in Lincoln! If anything they should have gone up.
