maybe. It didn't take long, for sure. If you meant Purdue mailed it in, that seems mean and unnecessary. Just in the sense of “this didn’t take long.” Purdue didn’t play well, but wouldn’t say they “mailed it in”

So nearly half of the people who voted in the poll thought Purdue would beat Penn State on the road, even though they lost by 20 points at home? Lol.

Certain nights teams don’t have it. Going on the road in the BIG is always tough. Penn State looked awful against Wisconsin, but was playing their second match in two nights. Purdue has been playing great lately, and you could see how much their defense has improved. But PSU’s defense equaled them tonight, and played one of their best matches of the season.

Penn State plays very well at home. Both PSU's losses have come on the road in front of very large crowds (8K+). I think the younger players get a little shell-shocked in such environments; they'll learn.

Penn State plays very well at home. Both PSU's losses have come on the road in front of very large crowds (8K+). I hadn’t considered this but it makes sense as to the vast discrepancy in level of play. They were much stronger against Purdue, Kentucky, and USC on the road, but none of those matches had much attendance at all. Other than the losses where they clearly fell apart, the Ohio State and Tennessee are among their weakest and both had huge crowds in very partisan arenas. I think PSU is in trouble on the road against rabid fan bases, but they’ve done enough to make sure that doesn’t happen until the F4.

PSU has outscored Purdue 150-114 this season. Pablo had Purdue ranked higher last week. You said something about Pablo recently in:re 5-setters having larger effects than 3-setters, this is a great example. PSU played 264 points against Purdue (two matches) and 207 against tOSU (one match). The 1 Ohio State match accounts for over 50% of the Pablo evaluation versus the 2 Purdue matches because of relative Pablo rating value and how many points were played.
