These ladies make it very hard, giving points away everywhere. So undisciplined to say the least. Send them to me, Ill give them the Marine Corps treatment...

UCR upset UCSB, so this win puts UCI in the Big West tournament. The Wahine may have to face them again. UC San Diego will still need to win. They're in Set 1 right now That’s odd. The UCR-UCSB match announcers said that the UCSB loss coupled with the UCI win means that UCSB is out and UCI is in. A UCSD loss would give them the same 10-8 record as UCSB and UCI, so it would come down to tiebreakers to determine which of the three would be eliminated from the tournament. I suppose the announcers could have misinterpreted how the tiebreakers work.

Not an ideal way to end the season.

If UCSD wins, they get 5th place & Santa Barbara and Irvine tied. Head to head, those two still tied. Next, vs. opponents in the standings from the top. Both teams lost to Cal Poly twice, still tied. Against Hawaii, Santa Barbara split while Irvine won twice, so Irvine wins the tiebreaker and gets the 6th spot in the tourney. If UCSD loses and all three are tied, it comes down to head to head. Irvine and Santa Barbara split their season matches while Santa Barbara beat UC San Diego in their only match and Irvine lost twice to UC San Diego, so Santa Barbara would be in and Irvine would be out. At least that's my understanding of it. At this point, though, it looks like UCSD is in control of their match so it's looking good for Irvine.

Props to UCI. They needed this match to have a chance at making the tourney.
On to the postseason. Hopefully Hawaii's "A" game will show up for the tourney.

For a moment this weekend, I thought Stella was going to be the next Kanami Danielson or Oganna Nmani. She’s got the fire power and hops. Don’t forget guys that Caylen had a tough Sophomore season.

Hawaii is almost in the same situation as last season. They were #2, while CP was #1, but this year they'll be tested by either UCD ( 1-1) and UCI (0-2).
