Will not take for granted going 6-0 vs Wisconsin!! Very happy Husker fan!! Right. Wisconsin has dominated most teams last several years. I wonder how long it has been since they were swept by one team twice in a season? Has to be many years. Could be a long time before it happens again. While I understand your overall sentiment, I wouldn't be surprised if Nebraska double-sweeps Wisconsin again next year given how much experience and talent they lose.

Fascinating, thanks for posting the link. In a bit of irony, I worked with quite a number of med tech startups and TTOs over the course of my career. Tried several times to connect to the NU programs, but never succeeded. FWIW, I'm trained as a chemist too.

It’s easy to miss that, like 2023’s Devaney meeting, last night’s match ended in a net violation
Everything is balanced

And Laney is getting better. I still think Mauch is the Libero next year although that battle with Laney will be incredible.

This isn't high school. It's division 1 ncaa sports. Krause has started and finished vs against 7 Top 20 opponents this season, But go off with the high school stuff Not to mention landfair hitting negative in the first set

Krause has started and finished vs against 7 Top 20 opponents this season, But go off with the high school stuff Not to mention landfair hitting negative in the first set When someone shows you they can be consistent over long stretches, it's usually better for them, and every player's confidence, to let them work it out when they're having an off night instead of going to the bench every time they make a mistake. And wouldn't you know it, she hit 6-0-14, 0.429 in the last 2 sets.

Or it helps passing with 2 great passers (Choboy, Mauch, LExi) versus Lexi/Ally battenhourst.

She passes well a lot. I think her "floor" could be improved. when she's not passing well, its pretty bad.

that doesn’t really have anything to do with what they said. Charlie being bad ≠ Bergen being good lol I didn’t even think Bergen was that bad but just playing better than someone else doesn’t really mean much When talking about a player 'losing points' for a team, it does bear comparison to the opponent's player 'losing points' for their team. Because at the end of the match, it's point for point. Bergen was clearly the superior setter tonight. I thought it was fairly obvious the original poster was talking about how nebraska needs to get better, obviously referencing the fact that the tourney starts soon. They weren’t talking about Wisconsin or the comparisons between the two. They’re talking about where they wanted their own team to make improvements. Yes, Bergen was the better setter in this match which no one is denying so not sure why you restated that again…. And they STILL want her to be better. That’s all. Zero to do with Charlie.

Charlie is dreadful tonight, and Bergen is hit or miss. Setting should NOT be a complaint in this matchup but it most definitely is tonight. I wouldn't say that Bergen was hit or miss during this match when she had 36 assists & the NU hitting percentage was .259 compared to .202 in the first match. You need to watch the post match interview with Cook.

We’ll wrap up this thread with a few thoughts … A. Match was a bit disappointing in regards to being fun to watch (from an unbiased viewpoint). B. This particular Wisconsin lineup is a bit tough to imagine as National Champions. C. Nebraska should have another shot at the big prize and it will be interesting to see the performance of Landfair.

Why was this match not fun to watch? As a Nebraska fan, I thoroughly enjoyed it of course. However, what about the match made it not fun to watch? I am genuinely curious. This wasn't a blowout win. Those first two sets were very close up until the last few points. Both teams played pretty good defense, which made for some entertaining rallies. It was only the final set where Wisconsin kind of ran out of gas at the end.
