he's right and the league doesnt care. what’s the alternative though waiting until the FF weekend or after. none of these players are joining up with PVF teams until then and PVF teams arent making outside roster moves in between now and training camp. |

what’s the alternative though waiting until the FF weekend or after. none of these players are joining up with PVF teams until then and PVF teams arent making outside roster moves in between now and training camp. there’s still going to be players in the FF drafted, it’s gonna be a “distraction” no matter what players that don’t make the tournament/out early won’t join their teams until after too? so all rookies gonna start league play with like a week of practice with their teams, and teams will have that same week to make their roster decisions? |

And honestly, the earlier date should be LESS disruptive than last year when it was right before the Final Four. But the NCAA volleyball season ends on the Sunday before Christmas and practice for the new season starts on January 2nd. I'd love to hear Sheffield offer a solution. |

I've just seen the FF floated around as their idea for last time since a lot of people are at the convention anyways. |

I'll also add that there were players who weren't drafted because LOVB is also negotiating and coming to verbal agreements with these same college seniors. So are European clubs. The timeline stinks, but it's a weird callout for the PVF specifically. (Not surprising when there's a LOVB club in Madison that features Kelly's "Offensive Analyst")

I haven't seen anything about when practice starts. But the first match is 15 days earlier than last season (Jan 9 vs Jan 24). |

Owners want more matches for more ticket sales. |
