Robinson is probably the most technically sound left side attacker I've seen this year. His attacking looks effortless. If I was training a bunch of kids to be future volleyball players, I'd be using footage of him as the example.

He is UCLA's best pin by far. He hit .542 in the loss, and is hitting .421 on the season - he has a very bright future ahead of him. Also, as a plus, he had no reception errors tonight.

His passing has room to improve and his serve more consistency. I would show kids Soto from LB as a technically sound example to model themselves after. Or champlin from last year.

Being tall, jumping high, being agile, and having a fast arm is over half the battle. Although this could be more of an assessment of how American players develop. Not many get super skill based training when younger, naturally the best athletes with some iota of volleyball IQ will be brought into college and develop skill from there. I always felt as though foreign college players rely more on technical skill compared to being a freak. They are usually far more skilled upon arrival as well.

Yeah I'm not hating on him, he's a great player, but I'd look a hell of a lot more "effortless" with a 50 inch vertical than I do with a 40. (Yes this is a subtle flex and I do have a 40 inch vertical and I am pretty awesome)
