To be fair, The article said it would be privately funded. Well OK, 'privately funded' just means big $$$ from the mega billionaires that Trump has worked overtime doing the bidding for. Trump Admknistration recently quashed a settlement whereas Navy Crddit Union had to pay for unethical business practices. They should have to release where this 'private money'comes from?! Either way it's extremely fiscally irresponsible and when added to other recent actions by this administration makes it abundantly clear that Trump is mot serving the working poor and middle class, they are serving the elites. |

Who owns the White House? Also covered in the article. So how does the funding source being private alter that? I'm not intrinsically opposed to the idea of renovating the White House (or even the addition of a ballroom specifically)--obviously, renovations and reconstructions have occurred on many occasions. I'm trying to understand what you think is significant about the fact that it's privately funded [allegedly]. |
