Ok, it's been a little dissappointing to see as many high-caliber athletes succomb to injury as have this season, but since a lot of them are ineligible for post-season awards, or will miss because of their injuries, let's give them our own reward.
I nominate these ladies for 1st team All-American, but injured award:
OH? - Leah Wischmeyer - Purdue OH - Cynthia Barboza - Stanford MB - Christa Harmotto - Penn State S - Brynn Kehoe - Stanford OH - Kristen Carlsen - San Diego OH - Jessica Gysin - USC
Who else?

Leah Wischmeyer was Purdue's best offensive player when she went down with her second ACL injury in the final pre-conference match.

I don't want to, but I'm going to: Jessica Gysin? She hasn't even played.
All-Unlucky maybe -- and deserving of as much empathy as we can all send her way, but not exactly the same sort of deal as the others.
What I think is a real bummer is that 2 of the best 4 frosh in the country are now out. And it's not like the injuries could have been prevented. It's just a major flaw in the "Intelligent Design."

As if there were only one flaw in 'Intelligent Design.'

Yeah, we've had to wait a long time to see her play. Hopefully she'll make it back. I don't even know how to pronounce her last name.

Well I saw her in the state HS championships and she was the 'real deal'. Furthermore I misspoke re; her second ACL injury of this same year. I understand that her re-hab is progressing normally and I posted that it was re-injured. My source today tells me that this isn't true, so my apologies for the bad information!
