How in the world can you say that teams not in the holier-than-thou West are not "doing the right things"? You have absolutely no way of knowing that. You have no way of knowing if these schools aren't "teaching more skills at a higher level." That is such unbelievably near-sighted homerism. I prefaced this earlier with saying teams I've seen. I have a pretty damned good clue as to what's happening on a volleyball court. I do know that for what I've seen it's true. There is no way to know it as fact for the rest of the teams because A) I haven't seen all the teams, B) there is no scheduling between these teams and the west coast teams I see typically because the East coast teams don't want to lose (You RARELY see them travel to the west coast, it's always the West coast teams travelling there, and usually thumping them). HOMER! HOMMMMMMMERR! Here's just a small sampling of teams that went West this year: Hofstra Long Island Liberty Winthrop Georgia Tech Florida A&M Columbia American Those are just the East Coast teams.

OK, so skipping UC Davis I moved to the next team in the list, UC Irvine.
Here is one team that went east, to a tournament in Florida. They lost in 3 to Florida, and beat Eastern Michigan in 4.
So indeed, I did find one team that went to the east coast. Don't see them "thumping" anyone (a 4 game win is not a thumping; Eastern Mich lost the next day to IPFW in 3).

I cannot believe it! You guys are actually contributing content! You're actually working. Although, I'd argue at this point, you're working on being stubborn and short-sighted. Not addressing any of the major points I continue to recount, yet focus on poorly trying to disprove my statements or attempts to synthesize my argument.

I agree that regional awards are goofy and silly, but not because of the reasons you do. As for "poorly" disproving, it's not "poorly" when you actually disprove something or call you on blatantly subjective statements.

IB, please tell us some of the wonderfully magnifient western teams that have made more trips to the east than than some of those sucky eastern teams have made to the west.
Since you included "us" in your statement regarding that issue, how many trips over say the past 10 years has Hawaii made to the east?
LBSU generally seems to play all of their non-conference matches at the Pyramid.
Stanford and Arizona both made trips to east coast non-conference tournaments this year.

You use subjective like you paid for it.
Did you? Pay someone to teach you a new big word?
I see you reverted back to "Homer" which is probably a grade-level beyond your last completed...

Subjective is a word most people learn at least by the time they get to middle school IB.
I'm also sorry that you think subjective is a big word. It happens to be only 3 syllables and is a very commonly used word.
Perhaps hebephrenia would be a nice new word to learn.
You ought to provide us with your definition of "homer" since I didn't reference any of my "home" teams.
Those being, Minnesota, Illinois, Purdue, Indiana, and Notre Dame if you base your definition on areas where one has lived and cheered for teams from those areas.
