The attitude being displayed on this thread against non-west teams is identical to the attitude displayed by the NCAA Selection committee towards the so-called mid-major conference teams. That attitude is why Kentucky (SEC) got an at-large bid over some more deserving mid-major teams. That is why Western Kentucky was paired against the 9th seeded Louisville even though Western Kentucky was the second best team at Louisville and should have been paired against Maryland with Kentucky playing Louisville. And you complained against the selection/pairing sommittee, then turn around and displayed the same type attitude about non-west teams. Are you sure you weren't on the NCAA Selection Committee? ?? Oops, guess not or all of the at-large bids would have been "west" teams. By the way what was the worse one game defeat National Champion Stanford had last year? Was is against a west team?

Actually, WKU had only a win over Ga Tech (which as it turns out wasn't so great), so they didn't have a lot to show the committee in terms of great wins. Kentucky had wins over Arkansas and LSU. That's kind of a toss up. BUT, otherwise I'm with you.

After her performance this year, and another great one last night against an All-American in Brewster, how the hell can Taylor Reineke from Wisconsin be left off this list? Her stats are the equal or better than many of the big name middle's in the country, and she compiled a lot of them against Big Ten competition. She ran away with that conference's blocking title. She's on the All Big Ten Team.
She's having a spectacular year....it's a shame she got snubbed by this committee. What a travesty.
