I hate it when I step into a room full of just white people, all named William Randolph Winchester III. this reminded me of something i have always wondered about -- how people get 'bill' from 'william' 'bob' from 'robert' 'tony' from 'anthony'?? i do know however on how one gets 'dick' from 'richard' though I only wonder about Margaret and Peg. How does the latter derive from the former?

Regas is a very good setter. Tall, blocks well, suprisingly quick for her size(6'1"), good hands and really smart. I think this was a big get for IU as I believe she could've gone to a lot of better established D1 programs. She will make them better, instantly. I just looked at their roster. Did they really have 9 freshmen this year?

Yeah, they sure did. Probably four of them won't come back. Goes that way every year. That is, unless, another integral position is altered. Ahem.....

I watched the final on TV between Berkeley Prep and Lake Highland. This was the first time I had seen any of the players involved, including Janet Okagbaa. I assume it was just the editing of the broadcast, but I was not impressed with her. The editing seemed slanted towards the Highlanders, so I assume that is part of the reason, but for such an important match she seemed to play only a minor part. Again, it was probably due to the editing and wanting to highlight the winning team (who crushed Berkeley Prep) but Brittany Roderick looked much, much better. Well, I watched the clips of the matches as well as you and I kind of agree. I was surprised to hear that she was playing OH. She does hit right over the block and her backrow attacks did look pretty nice. But that position does not look natural for her. When I watched her play RS in club, I was impressed. I truely feel that will be her position. And the club match I watched Janet had 3 solo and 2 block assists in one game. The blocking is much different on the LS than the RS. So that could have been the difference also. As for UF not recruiting Janet so hard, Stanford received a verbal commitment pretty early as long as she was accepted. Or at least that is what I was told. So, Gator's theory may be correct.
