As far as volleyball on a collegiate level is concerned, the scales tip heavily in the west's favor.

22 of the 40 teams were from WestCoast/Hawaii.
14 teams have qualified in this time, 7 schools from WestCoast/Hawaii.

Not too heavily tipped.


7 of the 10 champions were from California(No WestCoast/Hawaii needed) is a little more heavily tipped, perhaps this is what you meant.

Do separate groups for Pac10 and rest of WestCoast/Hawaii and it becomes clear that Pac10 heavily tip the scales; which we all pretty much knew.
